FINE AMERICAN AMBERINA ART GLASS 6" PITCHER "INVERTED THUMBPRINT", c1890

Description

This listing is for a lovely 19th Century Amberina 6″ pitcher with square top in the “Inverted Thumbprint” pattern, c. 1880-1890.
Both Mt. Washington and the New England Glass Company made high quality Amberina glass in this style with rich coloring and it’s very hard to tell the difference as neither company signed their items.
This pitcher has beautiful coloration in the glass in shades of dark mahogany red shading to amber with an applied amber reeded glass handle. Pitcher has a perfectly polished pontil.
UNUSUAL SIZE, WE THINK OF THIS AS A JUICE PITCHER.
The pitcher is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, handle check or repairs. Appropriate underside base table wear.
