Mayauel Ward Signed Blown Glass Cobweb Bowl

Description

Beautiful hand blown ruby red bowl with cobweb effect.  Signed on bottom: “Mayauel Ward 2011”.  Mayauel is a California glass artist who started with Abelman Glass in 1979 and started his own glass business in 1988.  He makes gorgeous floral paperweights, vases, perfume bottles, etc.  Bowls by him are not often seen.  Outside is textured and inside is smooth.  Base is clear glass.  Colors are iridescent and change under various lighting.  In great condition.  Normal wear on bottom.  No nicks or scratches.  Any “imperfections” are really just part of the glassmaking process.
Approximately 13″ wide x 5 1/2″ tall, with 3 1/2″ diameter base.  Weighs just over 4 pounds.
